Daro Saphir-1 UV Unit

The last available stock of our older range of single ended UV disinfection units these are manufactured in the UK by Daro. These are used widely for purification of private water supplies, they are compact, economical and designed with the consumer in mind.

Each unit utilises commonplace double ended shortwave UV lamp technology. Sized correctly these achieve a disinfection dose of 99.99(+)% reduction of all relevant parasites and bacteria. Making the system not only economical for energy running costs, but also for replacement UV lamps.

It is every important any particulates or sediment does not obstruct the UV light. We recommend the use of a correctly sized 5 micron pre filter. These are also available from us.

Lamps should be replaced after 8,760 hours use (approx 1 year) to ensure efficient operation. The units are suitable for connection to a 110 - 240 volt, 40 - 60 Hz single phase domestic power supply.
